For the last few months, our team has been developing a collection of intricate and stylised Abstract Art. Abstract Art may not be the easiest art form to understand. It requires contemplation and consideration. Many people would say “My 5-year old could do that.” What people need to realise is that many Abstract Artists have a refined drawing skills and sense composition and a cultivated understanding of the workings of colour. Most Abstract Artists choose not to draw a perfect render of a flower or a realist landscape but choose to express their creativity by creating a visual experience that is more free. Rather than trying to figure out what our Abstract Art collection is about, allow yourself to be taken in by the Artwork and see what emotions, sensations or memories emerge. Without any preconceived expectation, allow your eyes to relax and travel around the Artwork, experience the pure and natural appreciation of the colours and forms, materials and textures, and how they interact with each other. Take your time and Let the Artwork “speak” to you.
